Going Home
Lexy gave a half-hearted smile. “I know…I’ve been…gone. I’ve just been…not dealing with problems that needed—need—to be dealt with, really.” Lexy let out a quiet, but very tired and very stressed sigh. “It was two and some days. I went back home, to New York City. I don’t think I originally meant to go there, I just sort of ended up there after a few days.” Lexy shrugged and shifted the weight of the luggage bag she had dangling from her shoulder by a strap. “How has everything been here? How are you??” She finally gave Aggie a good look. The woman that was so bouncing and happy before she left seemed like she was a bit broken down on the inside.
Agatha nodded - problems, she understood all too well…
“Well it’s good to see you back!” She smiled. How was she…? How was she? Agatha shrunk back slightly. “Yeah well… S’not been to good here to be honest.”
If she was going to retell the whole gruesome tale over again, she’d need some drink inside…
Pointing to a nearby bar, Agatha cocked her head. “Wanna get drunk and catch up?”
Lexy nodded vigorously. A drink sounded absolutely perfect. Or three or four drinks, if she were being honest with herself. “That sounds like heaven, Aggie.” Lexy shook her head, realizing how fucked up everything had become. She gave the other woman’s shoulder an adoring squeeze and readjusted her bags. “I’m sorry nothing’s been going too well with you either…” Lexy frowned.
